When was the last REAL holiday you took?


Alright, stop for just a second. When was the last time you took a real vacation, one without your laptop or bringing it just in case or checking your phone all the time? Or being and thinking about your business, being somewhere else and not being present with your friends or family or getting that rest and relaxation that was the whole point of taking the vacation, to begin with?

We suck at this as business owners but I find it imperative, I actually make my clients schedule their vacation. So A, their partner loves me, but B, so we can test the system. 

The whole point is that you prioritize these systems so you're not chasing your tail over and over. And you get out of that rat race of having a job instead of a business. Your business should not be controlling you, that doesn't count, right? You should be controlling your business. And you should set it up so that your systems allow you to enjoy your vacation. 

So, I challenge you today, to set up, even if it's just two days, hopefully, it's a week. But I want you to get away in the next few weeks or the next few months and make sure that you're prioritizing the systems that will keep those emergencies. Because 99% of the things should not hit you on vacation. The 1% will, don't get me wrong, you are the owner, but most of those things should have a process in place so you already know what to do and your team already knows what to do without you. 

So, I challenge you today, go take a vacation.
