The Mastermind Question

When you first start a mastermind group, one of the most important things is really having that trust and connection so that you can share the stuff that might not be exactly comfortable to share. So, your mastermind group can call you out on that stuff that is really, really important. 

So, one of the questions that I ask for all of our new mastermind groups, we have another group starting pretty soon, so if you want to get into that, definitely let us know. Bur the very first call we have as a group with a pod of probably five to seven people is, "What is something your mastermind should know that you avoid or procrastinate on or don't like about yourself, even if it's painful to say out loud right now?"  

That one question giving them space and time to think about it, I don't give it to them beforehand. I want them to actually come up with something on the spot and not try and sound something like a job interview and be like, "Well, it's because I'm always on time and you should..." Right? We don't want that. We want something that is actually from the heart, painful, that can really start to build that vulnerability and connection so that the group can understand that we're all human. We're all in it for the greater good of each other, and now, we have permission to be able to call each other out on our issues. 

Awareness is one of the very first steps. And if we can at the very first call, go, "By the way, I got some issues on this. Please help me out with it." Instead of trying to look really cool, which is usually what happens at the very beginning of masterminds. It is a way to actually build that connection and get so much more out of it. Not just ROI and business. But ROI and the connection to your mastermind group, which can help you infinitely in your business.
