"How do you stay consistent, especially in a service industry that comes in waves?" 

This question came in from Caleb Ermier, I think I got your name right. And I highly recommend paying more attention to timelines. So for example on those waves, those really big peak times, you should already have your system set up and know exactly how long each chunk takes. 

So on the "time off", that's the time when you're refining your systems, you're potentially getting better people for your team or working on those pieces that are on the business side, not in the business, so that when the wave comes through you actually are way more prepared to be efficient and effective for what the timing and the high level of people that are coming through. 

That being said, as soon as you actually systemize that piece so you can handle the waves and higher and higher levels of service delivery for a number of people when the waves come through, I've actually had clients that have something else that's sort of counterintuitive, right? So if you're plowing type company in the snow then you're a landscaping company in the summer. So when you start thinking of cyclically, what works best for you, that's another option. 

So it's not sell, sell, sell, sell, sell, absolutely nothing, right? Now if that's the way you want to do it, you actually want to take a vacation and get really good at earning as much money as you possibly can during those cycles. And potentially having contract workers instead of having a full team the entire year. That is another option also.
