In this episode I grill David to find out how to make daily overwhelm disappear, and how to organize everything in business and life. (and keep it organized!!)

You don’t want to miss this!

  • Thanks Jaime for another fun and amazing interview. I take your content very seriously and I can’t wait to read your book.

  • I literally shrieked when I got your email about this interview, lol. 🙂

    • Haha, that’s the best testimonial ever!! 😉
      Hope you enjoyed it!

  • Hey Jaime,

this interview was one of the greatest interviews you did so far, congrats!

I implemented GTD until a certain level into my everyday routines, heck I even spent hundreds of dollars on Omnifocus in all his versions.
But I didn’t manage to build a habit on this, so I think I’ll use this interview to make a second try 😉

There were some weeks where I really had almost nothing in my head and I absolutely loved that feeling! It was probably the most productive and stress-free time in my life.

Thanks for motivating me to get back this feeling!

    • So glad to hear it! I felt the same way- putting one small piece in place at a time has really helped me implement.
Good luck this next time! 🙂

  • Great questions. Especially, presenting GTD from an entrepreneur prospective. Lots of gems from David Allen.

    Thanks for this interview

  • Great interview! I totally love David Allen and GTD!

  • FANTASTIC interview as always, Jaime. I’m going to dust off my copy of gtd and get to work. David, I’m digging your painting in the background.

  • Hi Jamie – this was the first time I had heard your podcast, it was an introduction from @jaredeasley, and I really enjoyed the style, feel and content. I am like you in having used “some” of GTD but never really being able to keep on using the process and having to go back to the “get it all out of your head” stage again and again. It was very helpful to hear David speak direct on this, and I will clear the space in my week and hopefully my head in the next couple of days! Thanks for great content, looking forward to going through the back catalogue and upcoming! Peter from England.

    • Thanks Peter! And thank Jared for me!! 🙂

  • Hi Jaime,

I too have the problem of too much “stuff” and not enough good places to put it. I’ve tried other systems but they don’t seem to mesh with me. I’ll give GTD a go again.

Thanks for the kick in the butt!

    Jeff

BTW, are you not submitting your audio podcasts to iTunes any longer? Yes, I know what an incredibly idiotic question that sounds like. I’ve not been able to get an update since 8/5. I know you have a video channel too and I haven’t subscribed to that one. I can’t watch video in the car-LOL!

    • It’s back up and working now- but you were right- it was broken for a bit! (it was switching hosting companies that caused the problem!)

  • I am at the point of having things (ideas) come up even again and again when I’ve written them down, then decided that they don’t need to be done.

What are we supposed to do with them? 🙂

Thanks for a great interview Jaime

    🙂 Melissa

PS I’d love an audio only feed too!

    • That goes in the someday maybe list. Or if you NEVER want to do it- delete it and if it comes up again say – “I’m not doing anything with this go away!” hahaa 😉

  • I heard you on Pat Flynn’s podcast and I really love the content on your site, can’t wait to hear more!

  • Hi Jaime..
Just discovered you from Smart Passive Income interview.love your interviews.this one particularly. Reminds me of zen concept of enlightenment..clean your bowl.
I follow Asain Efficiency who say cleaning your bowl is best way to prevent procrastination.
I like your video presence..you have a nice way about you in your interviews.keep up the good work.

  • I’ve found that systems are the key to pretty much everything in business. Productivity is no different – – and a topic I love learning about.

My system works for me but always looking to learn more to see how I can tweak/improve what I do (or if I find something radically better – – completely overhaul it!)

    Thank you Jaime

  • I read Getting Things Done awhile back and just came across Eventual Millionaire today. It is fun to see these intersect. I am in the same boat as a lot of folks, having implemented or stuck with parts of the system, but not completely using it. The piece that has saved me the most already though has been the tickler file. There has also been a couple of days that I failed to check and wouldn’t you know it, those were the days I had something due. Getting in the habit of using systems is a rewarding endeavor. I am looking forward to throwing this into another gear.
