Quick Process for Getting Referrals

One quick process that will get you more referrals.

Well, I was chatting with a new client the other day and I was asking them how they sort of work their referrals and it's sort of hit or miss, right? It's this "Oh, well when I realize I am not at capacity and I need more, I ask for them at that point." And in reality, you want to make sure that you're automatically always asking for referrals. Ideally at the right "time." 

So after they've been working with you for a little while, they're still really excited about the results you can get or you've just got amazing results for them. So what I highly recommend is on your onboarding system when you're actually putting this new client in, I want you to go ahead, and if you use Boomerang or something, some email scheduling tool, to automatically schedule a follow-up email. If it's four weeks out and that's when you typically get results for your clients, or six weeks, or eight weeks, whatever the timeline is for you. 

Know that your clients absolutely love you and you're really delivering on what you said, you've proven it, so you can have an amazing testimonial or referral. That's the point that you automatically schedule it because, no offense, you're not going to remember. 

Even if you have an Asana task or a task to tell you, typically goes to the very very bottom unless it's necessary, so automatically put it in your system at the very beginning, ideally having your right-hand actually do it instead of you, which is nine times better, not 10 times, nine times better. That way it's automatic and you know that those client referrals will be coming in as they should be.
