My 5 Steps To Become a Millionaire Series

My ways to become a millionaire are very unlike conventional wisdom. Most people would tell you, either win the lottery, go to school and work really hard for a big company and save a lot, or start your own company and work 70 hours per week.

In my opinion, life is more important than money! So how does someone achieve their goals without sacrificing their entire lives to work? Take a look at the outline for the “5 Steps to Become a Millionaire” Series

1. Creating Your Goals, and the Missing Ingredient

If you don’t know what you want, how will you know how to achieve it? As a business coach, goals were the number 1 priority with new clients. We?track and measure what worked, and what didn’t work to find out what it would take to make progress on your goals.

Goals are so important to have, but if you only have goals you are missing a key ingredient. The WHY. Why you want to achieve your goals is the foundation to obtaining them. It is the missing ingredient and one of the main reasons why people fall off the wagon. If your WHY isn’t important enough to you and your car breaks down for the 3rd time, you may end up going further into debt.

This series will go into detail on how to create your goal, and how to find your true why.

2. Become Debt Free and Love it

How do you become debt free and love it? I think most people know WHAT to do; but how do you get yourself to do it? I’ve found this quote embodies one of the most important things to staying on track:

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill

Part 2 of this series will go into detail on what I teach at my debt free workshops and how to become debt free.

3. Create the Lifestyle You Want

Look at the top view of your life. How many hours do you want to work per week? What choices do you want to have? Who do you want to spend your time with? What makes you the best person you can be? What is the best day you can imagine?

Now how do you go about getting all of this? This part of the series will go into more detail on how I figured out what type of lifestyle I want, and how I achieved it. It will also have interviews with other people who have achieved their ideal lifestyles.

4. Creating the Income You Want, Doing What You Love

Now this is the fun part. I am here. I’m living the lifestyle I want and working when I want to. It may take me longer to achieve my goal, but I am able to live my life the way I want. I want to be an entrepreneur and document my struggles, my triumphs and exactly how much cold hard cash I gain from it, even if that figure is negative! Writing about my failures will also help me learn from them.

5. Giving More Than You Ever Dreamed

This part of the series will be ongoing. Giving is not something you need to wait to do until you are a millionaire. I am currently giving to organizations and charities that I like. I especially like Charitywater.org. That being said, I want to be able to give as Dave Ramsey says, “Like No One Else.” Instead of giving in increments to Charitywater.org, I would love to spend $5,000 on a well for a community of 250 people.

This part of the series I will be looking to interview people about their giving habits and how it has affected them.

Stay tuned for the first part of the series!
