From laid off to Inc 500 in 5 years: Millionaire Scott Weintraub

Scott has an amazing story of being laid off twice from his job and starting businesses both times. He gives the step by step process he went through in the time when he knew his job was on the line, and what he did to get his first 3 proposals (in the first week he was in business!)

He gives really important marketing advice on how he landed as #160 on the Inc 500. Scott also explains why revenue solves everything. He is so genuine and can really show what is possible from just taking the steps he knew he should take.

  • Great article

  • Jamie, I feel like I am in a rut here with my business. It seems as if nothing is happening and I am still trying to figure out how to make money off my site.

    • Cheval, hang in there and keep trying! If you can’t figure something out, learn something new. Eventual Millionaire is good and getting better but I also suggest you see Andrew Warner’s interviews at Mixergy.com.

Remember, “The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don?t want it badly enough. They?re there to stop the other people.” Randy Pausch

  • Thanks for another great interview Scott and Jaime! I learned that, within a company, “revenue solves all problems”. I look forward to learning more from Scott if and when he returns.

  • Jamie,
I recently found your site and it has been an inspiration to me being an aspiring entrepreneur. I was really pleased with this interview with scott. His story rings a bell with me since i’m also working in a large company and I aspire to start my business in the future. Do you have any advice on how to locate a mentor? Thanks.
