Fun interview – thanks Jaime! I really got a kick out of this line: “Nobody was doing licensing for rubber ducks. Nobody.” It’s such an oddly brilliant idea….good stuff!
Out of curiosity, from and inventors standpoint, how did he protect his celebriduck products when he didnt invent the rubber duck; seems like he does something others could easily copy? Was it just branding or maybe a race to get the licenses sowed up? Thanks.
Possibly just design patents each one?

craig, as far as you don’t sell 100% recycled and compostable rubber-ducks only, this is not a cool product, but crap. we do have a massive plastic-problem on the planet and we all know that. i think we as entrepreneurs have an even higher responsibility than others.
