A Goal Setting Hack For Impatient Owners

Quick tip for goal setting for entrepreneurs, the ones who wanted everything done yesterday or everything in the next 10 years to be compressed into next year. 

Well, I was chatting with one of my clients this week, and one of the tactics that I give them is I have them brainstorm an entire list between now and 10 years out whatever they want, both personal and professional. They get to have a lot of fun and getting excited about all those things. 

She brought me that list back, and what we ended up doing is going through the list and figuring out, "What are we actually going to do next year?" versus "What what are we gonna do three years from now?" versus "What are we gonna do five to ten years from now?" And when you actually put it in the timeline between now and then, it allows your brain to relax a little. Not like you have to do it all tomorrow, which is typically how we think as an entrepreneur.

So I highly recommend creating those brainstorm list, and then, putting what year you wanna do it. Because if everything is next year, you're gonna feel crappy at the end of next year. Because there's no way you can get it all done. Yet, if we push out a timeline of 10 years out, you can feel so much better.
