Diagnosing your business problems.

Whenever I get a new client, I really want to assess what the problems are. I try and be like a doctor. I try and diagnose what the primary issues are because they might have a bunch of different issues but we can't actually work on all of them all at the same time. So how do we rank them and how do we figure out which ones are causing that hinge that will make the biggest difference?

Well, one of the things that's very interesting and highlighted over and over and over again, especially, as I onboard these new mastermind participants is when we're looking at the entire business, the rate of the owner, the thoughts of the owner make all the difference in the world. So, yes, you could definitely have a marketing problem or you could have a sales problem or you could have whatever it is, employee problem, there is a lot of problem in business.

Don't get me wrong. But my point is to start asking them questions about them. So, when they start going, "Ahh," and they want tactics and tactics and tactics, I have a tendency to ask, "Are you sleeping OK?" "Are you getting enough rest?" "Are you eating OK?" "Are you exercising?" "Do you have you in line?" It's not always necessarily the main problem, but if you don't, it can cause so many more issues in your business because of the way you are looking at things, the perspective.

An owner that has the brain of somebody who's excited and ready to take on the world is completely different than an owner that is like (sighs), I feel defeated. So, what we have to do is keep getting back on that horse and trying to feel excited. So how do we do that? It all starts with ourselves and it all starts with rest, exercise, eating OK. It?s really trying to do the best you can with the temple that we've got here, it's the only one we got to try and make it so that we're not constantly trying to catch up. So, that's where I start to diagnose business problems.
