Press Links and Plans for Eventual Millionaire

It has been an amazing month here. I am so grateful for everything that has gone on because of this blog. Here are a few links to the press:

CNNMoney.com – Debt Busters

MSNMoney.com – Become a One Income Family

CNN Money with Tony Harris – Debt Busters

Sun Journal – On CNN Talking Debt, Taking Back Control

Graduate Becomes Debt Buster Guru

I’ve also been interviewed on the local news, and I wrote a commentary for Marketplace but those haven’t come out yet.

This blog had come a long way since starting in March. I’ve been thinking about where I want it to go in the future. What I came up with was that I really want to merge what I do (business coaching) with my blog.

It fits perfectly under the Eventual Millionaire header because I will be discussing how to grow your business and earn more money, and how to reduce your expenses in your business. I also think it’s really important to keep a focus on personal finance when building your net worth too.

Becoming a millionaire takes paying off debt, and being frugal, but it also means growing your assets and earning more money. I think that is what a lot of frugal blogs are missing. We can always do better and earn more. I want to fuse both growing your income and decreasing your expenses to create wealth.

Where Eventual Millionaire is headed:

Business Stuff: I love business. How to start one, grow one, be a leader, go after profits, and generate more revenue.

Coaching Stuff: I love coaching. How mindset works, what we can do to open ourselves to change, push past fear and to live the lives we really want. I think the inner game is what makes most people successful. I work with people every day dealing with issues and trying to push limits. (It is amazingly fun.)

Finance Stuff: Can you tell I love finances? Including both personal finance and business finance info. I think both are needed to become a millionaire. Whether you want to be a millionaire by the time you are ready to retire, or you want it in the next five years, you need to know how to handle it.

So if you came here because you want to get out of debt, I love you being here and hope these new topics might appeal to you too. If not, I completely understand and I wish you the best of luck in your journey to debt freedom!

The Plan:

  • I will be talking with mentors and millionaires that will help me reach my goal. My business coach has sold a million dollar business. I am planning to start a podcast at the beginning of next year that interviews millionaires for their advice.
  • Coaching is completely confidential but I would love to talk to a few of my more open clients to see if they wouldn’t mind me telling their story (anonymously of course!) We can learn from real businesses instead of hypothetical information.
  • Since the plan for me is to keep my family priority number one, I want to talk about balancing a business with life. It’s something I see A LOT with my clients, especially of the entrepreneurial type!

Thanks so much for being here. 🙂

  • Congratulations on coming so far. I look forward to the new topics!

My husband was excited to see you on CNN when he was home working one day. I was excited that he was excited because he’s not usually the financial one in the house. 🙂

    • That is awesome that he saw the show! Wow, someone knew who I was. That’s cool!
My website crashed right after it aired because it received so much traffic. 🙂 It was a fun day.

  • Congratulations on your press coverage! Very exciting.

    • Thanks Amanda! Amazing things can happen when you blog huh? 🙂

  • I think you are already down the right path!

  • Congratulations on your coverage! I have followed your blog for a while now but never knew you were a fellow RIT Alum. Keep up the good work!

-Sorry I somehow posted this in another thread but it was meant for this one.

    • Thanks Shawn! That’s awesome to know that someone from RIT was following my blog. 🙂
RIT just contacted me about possibly speaking to the seniors this year, we’ll see if we can make it happen. If your local to Rochester it would be great to meet you!

      • That would be an exciting thing for you to do. Not local to Rochester anymore, I migrated to the Boston area with my wife who is also an RIT grad. (I was a Computer Science major and she was Graphic Design)

  • Thanks a lot for providing individuals with an exceptionally marvellous possiblity to read articles and blog posts from here. It’s usually so cool and also full of a great time for me and my office fellow workers to visit your website not less than 3 times a week to see the latest things you will have. Of course, we are always motivated considering the attractive knowledge served by you. Some 4 points on this page are unequivocally the most suitable I have had.
