In this podcast I talk with MJ DeMarco. He’s recently authored the book the Millionaire Fastlane: Crack the Code to Wealth and Live Rich for a Lifetime. The book just hit #1 on Amazon in Entrepreneurship (Kindle) and Business Finance, and it deserves all of the success. In the book he talks about being a young kid with a poster on his wall of a Lamborghini and the story it took for him to buy his own years later.

He has an incredible story, and great tips for your business. His ideas make you want to be a producer instead of just a consumer. I hope you enjoy the interview!

Fastlane Forums: You can find MJ and a great community of entrepreneurs full of advice and inspiration

The Millionaire Fastlane Book:I highly recommend the book especially if you have big dreams in business.

“I believed that entrepreneurship; no matter how many failures I had I knew it would lead me to where I wanted to go. ” <–I believe in the same mentality. ;) Nice interview.

Okay, I’m back. Taking over the comment field here. I really enjoyed the five commandments. And you are giving some solid advice.

I like scale…and need… in my own business – just starting out – I set up, strategize, and optimize small business blogs for people. One, because there is a need. Business Blogs are going to be big for the next couple of years. I confirmed that with a popular VC and at a meeting I attended where over 1/2 the small businesses wanted to start a biz blog but did not have one.
Two, I realize based on Scale – I can’t reach a million people working as one person setting up individual businesses. So, as I suspect, I will need to either hire a bunch of employees to set up businesses or… create an education program to teach people how to set up and optimize their sites or… create a site builder (that is better than all the rest). I’m opting for the last two suggestions.

Awesome Christine! You should totally pick up the book, mine has notes all over it. :)

In his book he says to make a million, just create a business that touches a million people. He has great insights.

I love seeing what you are up to lately too!

His 5 commandments are dead-on….Entry is probably the most common violated one, as we start things easy thinking we’re being productive but aren’t.

As Seth Godin says, “it should scare you” and then you know it’s what you should do

Yes Joe! I love chatting with new business owners about how hard things can be. YEP, you aren’t a true business owner til you have issues ;)
